Welcome to Second Life!

If you have never been in Second Life before and don't have an account yet, please follow these steps.

Requirements. To be able to go into Second Life you need a computer running Windows2000, Windows XP, Mac OSX or Linux and a broadband internet connection (ADSL or cable).

Download and install the Second Life application using the following link: http://secondlife.com/community/downloads.php

Create account. While the application is downloading you can create your Second Life account to be able to login. Go to the following link http://www.secondlife.com/join/ (While creating the account you'll be asked if you want a premium account. Don't select this since you don't need this and it would cost you money). After creating your account you will receive an email that you will need to respond to in order to activate your account.

Start Second Life and connect using your just created avatar-name and password.

Orientation Island. The first place you will visit is Orientation Island. Here, you will have to complete 4 tutorial steps. This is obligatory for every new avatar in Second Life. Follow the instructions precisely to complete the steps. (Note: To complete the steps you will have to walk into the four colored circles around you (orange, purple, blue and yellow). You won't have to walk further since then you might get lost!) When you have completed the tutorial you can 'teleport' to Help Island (teleporting is a way of instant transportation of your avatar to a distant location inside Second Life).

Turn on audio/video streaming. Go to Edit > Preferences in the menu, then click on the "Audio & Video" tab on the left. Make sure the checkboxes "Play Streaming Music When Available" and "Play Streaming Video When Available" are both checked.

The show . Once you're on Help Island you can teleport your avatar immediately to the location of the show by using the following link: SLURL. The map inside Second Life will open and show you the location (Gembong West, 31/75/556). Now, click on the button 'teleport' to go there. (If the link somehow doesn't work you can manually open Second Life, log in, open the map and go to the location: Gembong West, 31/75/556). If you don't want to go there yet, or are unable to, then you can also first explore other parts of Second Life.
The show uses streaming video, so click the Play button on the bottom of the screen to see the video.
